The Paid Media Analyst will work closely with our Strategy teams, and have a visible position within the agency while contributing to the evolution of our agency’s measurement program.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working with planning and activation leads to identify trends or occurrences in data in order to make optimization recommendations and pull out insights.
- Conduct regular analysis of marketing effectiveness across all initiatives, especially marketing channel performance.
- Identify and propose hypothesis testing opportunities that would bring about key learnings for marketing initiatives.
- Size and recommend opportunities for improvement on the digital advertisement (Facebook, Google, etc.) and email marketing front.
- Able to review client customer data from CRMs such as Salesforce, Hubspot for Marketo or internal sales data in order to identify trends and make recommendations to improve performance.
- Present findings to a mix of stakeholders across clients and their organizations.
- Generate reporting that drives day-to-day decisions based on metrics.
- Govern the integrity of the company’s digital analytics data including tracking implementation and tag management, documentation, and upholding best practices.
- Collaborate closely with client and internal teams to develop measurement strategy, data strategy, insight generation, integrated cross-channel storytelling, and analytics program evolution.
- Act as a technical resource to implement tracking and data flows required to support data strategy.
- Manage and mentor junior team members, with a focus on skill/career development and “working smart”.
- Contribute to the evolution of our team, including best practices, ways-of-working, and core competencies.

- Minimum 2 years of experience in digital marketing analytics.
- Data-driven and able to analyze numbers and deliver insights based on what is performing best and make recommendations based on data to improve the results.
- Demonstrated success presenting complex research data (both qualitative and quantitative) in a clear and compelling manner that inspires action.
- Basic knowledge across search, social, display, video, and programmatic media buying to be developed over time, in order to pull out insights from data and make recommendations.
- Demonstrated success presenting complex research data (both qualitative and quantitative) in a clear and compelling manner that inspires action.
- Strong critical-thinking capabilities; including the ability to clearly articulate the “why” and the “what next” of a performance insight.
- Experience managing and mentoring junior team members.
- Experience with tag management solutions and how conversion tracking works is a plus.
- Advanced working knowledge of key web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and Campaign Manager along with the reporting capabilities of paid media platforms such as Facebook Ads, Google Ads, etc.
- Ability to interpret CRM and business data a must
- Experience with at least one data analysis/visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau, Data Studio).
- Working knowledge of databasing concepts (granularity, primary keys, foreign keys, joins).
- Experience with presentation software (e.g. PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides) and the ability to present performance that is actionable and tells a story.
